We're now looking for hands-on, reliable Production Technicians to support assembly and production at our Townsville facility on a casual basis, with up to 40 hours per week available. This is a casual role for an initial 6-month period (through to December 2026), with an immediate start available.
The OpportunityAs the Production Technician, you'll be responsible for assisting with the assembly of sub-components used in our uDOSE systems, including wiring, fittings, and general mechanical assembly. This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with tools and has strong attention to detail. It would suit someone with a trade background or experience in a workshop, manufacturing, or assembly environment.
You'll be working as part of a small, hands-on production team in a workshop environment.
- Assemble sub-components and parts for uDOSE systems
- Cut, prepare, and organise wiring and cable harnesses
- Assist with basic electrical and mechanical assembly tasks
- Assemble fittings, couplings, and water system components
- Drill and prepare metal enclosures and components
- Follow assembly instructions and technical documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines
- Comfortable working in a hands-on workshop/production environment
• Practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail
• Experience using basic hand and power tools
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to consistent hours
• Physically capable of manual handling and repetitive tasks
Qualifications and Licences:
• Trade background (e.g. electrical, mechanical, fabrication) – desirable
• Experience with wiring, assembly, or production work – desirable
• Experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment – desirable
• Forklift licence – desirable
• Valid Australian working rights with no restrictions that would prevent working up to 40 hours per week in a casual capacity
