Position: Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator          at Audubon Metals Texas LLC        in        Corsicana,

EHS Coordinator

The EHS Coordinator will assist with all safety and environmental related projects and initiatives. This position will work closely with all departments to conduct risk assessments, provide training, and foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Safety:

  • Utilize strong knowledge of OSHA regulatory requirements to ensure company programs, policies and procedures are compliant.
  • Investigate the root causes of accidents, prepare reports with findings and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Coordinate and occasionally conduct trainings to ensure compliance.
  • Evaluate the organization's exposure to safety hazards through inspections and monitoring of the facility.
  • Must have active participation on the production floor and engagement with the employees.
  • Ensure risk reduction practices are in place.
  • Manage training database to ensure compliance.
  • Assist on the job training program to ensure proper training.
  • Provide safety support and insight on new additions and projects.
  • Participate in orientation for new hires.
  • Lead others to find creative safety solutions within complex manufacturing processes.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements.
  • Manage safety suggestions, safety observations and incident reporting system.

Environmental:

  • Coordinate waste disposal and ensure proper record keeping.
  • Actively involved in leading management with environmental-related projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all EPA/state and local environmental regulations.
  • Evaluate risks around environmental exposure.
  • Conduct periodic inspections to ensure environmental compliance with government and company standards; develop corrective actions as required.

General:

  • Participate in production and staff meetings to ensure EHS related activities are properly communicated.
  • Assist with tracking and coordinating of trainings.
  • Communicate and comply with Corporate Initiatives and Standards.
  • May support activities with capital project(s) as needed.
  • May assist with other department roles, activities or job responsibilities as needed.
  • Understand, apply and advocate all Company Environmental and Safety policies, procedures and standards.
  • Attend periodic training and continuing education as required by management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of EHS and OSHA regulations and standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to conduct inspections and assessments in various conditions and environments, which may also require standing, walking, climbing, and lifting.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Environmental, Health and Safety or similar.
  • 1-3 years' experience in an EHS role
