This is a permanent PART‑TIME role. The base hours for this position average from 5–9.5 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours (typically 1–2 hours per week per store) are frequently assigned for special projects throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Full scheduling details will be reviewed during the interview.
Scan Scape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps throughout the store. The data collected is analyzed and used to improve the sales performance of the product and retailer (store).
Being a Retail Scan Associate offers an opportunity in retail, providing workplace independence, some flexibility in hours, and job consistency. The role involves continuous physical activity throughout the workday shift.

- Visit designated stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps.
- Use the downloadable mobile app to scan barcodes throughout the store.
- Provide the quantity of approximately 45% of the products scanned.
- Report to the store within the described deadline.
- Complete display scanning on the entire store each week.
- Participate in Custom Projects requested by clients, adding 30 minutes to 2 hours of work weekly for each store.
- Adhere to weekly deadlines and maintain data quality.
- At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
- Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
- Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
- Must have access to reliable Wi‑Fi.
- Must be tech savvy.
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
