Position: Retail Assistant Store Manager - 0570

Position Summary

We are looking for a Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our team. The role is a full‑time, 40+ hour per week position with a base hourly rate of $14.00 to $17.00, plus commission and bonus opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a professional manner and rapidly addressing issues.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of employees to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company‑prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, ensuring all procedures are followed to protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer store processes, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, and reporting.
  • Evaluate store financial statements to drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Maintain operating standards that meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure the value and integrity of all loans issued.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to ensure understanding of the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be able to perform duties that may include standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting (up to 50 pounds).
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise others effectively.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays; may work in multiple locations.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Cash handling experience is required.
  • Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.

Commission Plan Information

The Assistant Store Manager may earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Detailed plan information is provided during the interview. Payrates will not be below applicable local minimum wage requirements.
