Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

Pawn store locations nationwide

• Hourly wage: $11.00 to $14.00 per hour
• Commission:
  Can earn unlimited commission above hourly base rate; retail associates can earn up to 8% on transactions (may average an additional amount per hour, depending on performance and location)

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the staff to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides. The role involves greeting, engaging with customers, processing sales, loans, and other transactions, and assisting with inquiries and problem resolution. The position involves handling a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The role offers hourly wage plus commission based on productivity; actual pay varies by location and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and merchandise displayed.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items per policies.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; provide positive customer experiences.
• Complete assigned training and other related duties as needed.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods in a fast-paced environment; some duties may involve climbing, pushing, and pulling in accordance with safety requirements.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified (where applicable).
• Minimum age 18;
  High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers, be team-oriented, and multitask effectively.
• Basic math proficiency; cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work across multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Details provided during interview.
