About the roleThe GSOC Assistant Supervisor provides operational leadership and support within the Global Security Operations Center, helping ensure the safety and security of company personnel, assets, and operations. Responsibilities include monitoring security systems, communicating with field Security Officers and Specialists, coordinating calls for service, and ensuring operations follow established policies and procedures.
The GSOC operates 24/7/365, so this role requires flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Reporting to the GSOC Supervisor, the Assistant Supervisor is a key member of the security team and is expected to demonstrate strong communication, sound judgment, professionalism, and a customer-focused approach. You will work on-site at the Corsicana site, with a regular schedule of 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.
Whatyou'll be doing
- Provide strong leadership to Security Operations Center Operators.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to improve operator skill sets and ensure high-quality work.
- Ensure accountability, attendance, and punctuality of Security Operations Center Operators.
- Manage scheduling for team members.
- May perform the duties of a superior in their absence, when appointed by the management team.
- Participate in new hire orientation and present information to new employees.
- Participate in daily briefings and provide valuable input.
- Provide security monitoring and incident response for security events within a highly available Security Operations Center supporting internal and external customers.
- Monitor internal and external security systems and identify potential security threats or incidents.
- Monitor and analyze Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) alerts to identify security issues, support remediation, and investigate events and incidents.
- Investigate, document, and report information security issues, incidents, and emerging trends.
- Handle multiple emergency situations and prioritize competing incidents effectively.
- Classify the nature of calls and determine the appropriate priority and response.
- Generate alarm reports and maintain accurate records of security events and activities.
- Assist emergency service units in the field by securing and verifying information through computers, department files, records, and other available data sources.
- Operate two-way radios to relay instructions and information to remote units.
- Operate recorders, video monitoring displays, computer-aided dispatch (CAD) equipment/software, and other dispatch-related systems.
- Set, understand, and track team OKRs and KPIs, including completing end-of-month reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and overall Security Operations Center performance.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience required.
- Two (2) years of experience in a public emergency services field or agency (police, fire, or ambulance dispatch), private security, armed forces, IT, or another related field preferred.
- Military experience preferred.
- Associate’s degree or relevant certification in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Criminal Justice, or a related field…
