Job Description
The Electro-Mechanic is the front-line “reactive” individual trouble-shooter and systems analyzer. Candidate must have electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical knowledge that allows a comprehensive and thorough understanding of process and electrical controls. Strong manufacturing background with demonstrated mechanical aptitude and process troubleshooting skills required. Ability to work independently.
Responsibilities- Electrical Duties:
Tasked with performing or assisting with all major and minor electrical repairs, including 480V 3-phase motor repairs/installation, motor starter circuit repairs, VFD drives, photo-optic sensing devices, proximity switches, E-Stop circuitry, and ground fault detection in accordance with the guidelines established by the company’s Electrical Safety Program. - Read and interpret schematics and basic electrical symbol identification; understand electrical theory, including basic Ohm’s law.
- Troubleshoot maintenance problems with emphasis on electrical issues, including A.C. and D.C. drives, PLCs, and basic motor control circuits.
- Utilize precision measuring tools and testing instruments (amp meter, ohm meter, megger, etc.) for electrical equipment.
- Mechanical Duties:
Basic mechanical skills with pneumatics and hydraulic systems; clean, lubricate, and adjust equipment as needed. - Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including motors, conveyors, pumps, belts, and chains; read mechanical prints and PI&D drawings.
- Qualified candidates require either a 2-year Industrial Electrical Degree or 1-2 years’ equivalent experience in an industrial environment.
- Able to operate forklift and high-lift equipment; welding experience desired.
- High degree of mechanical ability and aptitude with proven ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs on electro-mechanical equipment.
- Basic computer skills; strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision.
- Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.

- Basic mechanical skills with pneumatics and hydraulic systems; clean, lubricate, and adjust equipment as needed.
- Repair and maintain mechanical equipment; read mechanical prints and PI&D drawings.
- 2–4 years boiler experience preferred with a current Boiler Operator Certification; prior experience as Plant Shift Maintenance Technician or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, blue/schematic print reading (mechanical/electrical), welding, shop equipment, and fabrication.
- Electrical background with experience in troubleshooting preferred; familiarity with AC and DC drives and PLCs.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and electrical and mechanical skills.
- Pay Rate: $33.21 - $43.05 per hour, depending on experience.

Mon-Fri, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
