Mathnasium — The Math Learning Center, located in Marin County, has openings for regular part-time math instructors/teachers. We are looking for candidates that share our positivity and passion for teaching, math and motivating children to succeed. At Mathnasium, our teaching philosophy revolves around teaching math in a way that makes sense to kids, Kindergarten through high school, and helping them gain confidence in their math knowledge with the goal of helping them improve in their math education. We focus on strengthening math fundamentals by building math skills and number sense.

This position is specific to a cohort we are assembling to work in after school programs in various schools throughout Mill Valley, Bel-Tib, and Corte Madera. The programs take place at school sites following the release of class.

This job requires commuting to the program site in the city of Mill Valley, work hours of 2:00-5:00pm.

• Exceptional communication and writing skills
• Ability to manage 4-8 students elementary aged
• Very good at following directions
• Energetic, confident and mentoring personality
• Passion for education
• Willingness to commute to school sites for after school programs
• Classroom management skills are a plus

• Open to applicants who have a high school diploma/GED, or is currently in high school
• Open to applicants who have a college diploma, or is currently in college
