Primary Support Specialist
Marin Montessori School is seeking a joyful and resourceful primary support assistant to support two primary classrooms serving children ages 2–6. This role includes preparing classroom materials, supervising children during staff breaks, and providing on-call support when teachers are out.
This position operates on a 10-month school calendar (mid-August through mid-June), with paid breaks during the school year. During the summer months, optional four-week summer camp opportunities are available.
This is a full-time, non-exempt (37.5 hrs/week) position;
Monday - Friday (7:30 am - 3:30 pm).

Key Responsibilities:- Support daily classroom operations in two primary classrooms
- Prepare materials (cutting, sewing, playdough, punching paper, etc.)
- Supervise children during staff breaks, maintaining line of sight
- Serve as on-call assistant substitute when staff are absent
- Minimum 12 ECE units, including Child Development and Child, Family & Community
- At least six months' experience working with young children
- Kind, joyful attitude with a desire to learn on the job
- Interest or experience in crafting/material prep
- Professional, reliable, punctual, and resourceful
- Basic computer skills; excellent verbal and written communication
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs, sit on the floor, and move up/down with ease
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to successfully complete a background check
- Collaborative and flexible approach to working with colleagues
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Fluent Spanish speaker
- Knowledge of Montessori principles and enthusiasm to learn
