As a Licensed Optician, you will help establish Lens Crafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community by delivering legendary customer service and high quality eyewear that exceeds our customers’ expectations.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Welcome all customers and set expectations with them
- Custom fit glasses, precisely place prescription in lenses
- Act as a leader in optical acumen
- Take and record measurements; accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs
- Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions
- Use technology accurately and efficiently, even under time pressure, demonstrating product knowledge and appropriate tool use
- Proactively explore root causes of issues, forward‑think, and ensure customers are satisfied and expectations exceeded; solution driven
- Multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities
- Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies
- Maintain store appearance, ensuring it is clean, attractive, and organized
- Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices
- Be resourceful, self‑motivated, and committed to continual learning, improvement, and results
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management
- High School graduate or equivalent
- State licensure
- Optical dispensing experience
- Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder
- Knowledge of current store merchandise
- Strong basic math skills
- Awareness of current fashion trends
- Sales skills – ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet
- Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators
- Embrace new technology and change
- Previous customer service and retail experience
