Overview

The Nordstrom Beauty Department looks for a passionate professional who will create personalized beauty experiences for customers and help drive sales through both in‑store and digital channels. The role involves direct customer engagement, trend knowledge, and a commitment to building a welcoming, inclusive environment.

• Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses, recommending products based on the customer’s beauty goals.
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers.
• Set and achieve sales goals for both in‑store and digital selling using effective selling tools, including text and social media.
• Book appointments and drive sales for in‑store beauty events and services.
• Maintain department readiness through organization and cleanliness.
• Keep up with the latest beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through trainings provided by Nordstrom and brand partners.
• Manage sales, refunds, exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.

• Passion for customer service and the beauty industry, including trends, makeup application, and skincare.
• Excellent ability to connect with customers, proactively handle concerns, and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Empathy and respect for all customers, providing a supportive environment during makeup and skincare application.
• Strong multitasking, organization, and follow‑through skills.
• Drive to achieve sales goals, with interest in using networking and technology.
• Flexible schedule availability based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.

Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching. Regular lifting up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

• $25.65 – $26.65 per hour.
• Commission ranges:
  Apparel, shoes, accessories – 3% to 14.5%;
  Beauty and Men’s fragrance – 3%.
