Position Summary: Responsible for the overall management of the school office; various secretarial and clerical functions; basic accounting and bookkeeping functions; record keeping and report preparation. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.
THIS IS A FULL TIME, 12 MONTH POSITION.
Essential Duties:
- Provides secretarial and clerical support for building administrator(s)
- Responds to telephone calls, routes calls, takes messages and assists staff, parents and community with concerns and questions
- Performs various financial and budgetary accounting procedures and processes purchase orders
- Maintains inventory of building fixed assets
- Prepares various reports as required by the district, the state department of education and the state government
- Purchasing and Request for Proposals
- Maintains management of the office in the absence of the building administrator
- Manages arrangements for substitute personnel, custodial staff support, maintains timesheets and leave request records
- Asbestos plan management
- Facility use coordinator
- Performs other related duties as assigned and requested
Position Requirements:
- Minimum Education - Specialized classes beyond high school
Minimum Experience:
- One to three years
Skill Requirements:
- Computer
- General office equipment
- Some accounting/bookkeeping knowledge
- Effective communication
Preferred
Skills:
- Knowledge of Excel

Licenses and Certification: None Required
Environmental Demands: Mostly clean and comfortable, some noise. All buildings/grounds in District Re-1 are tobacco free.

- Frequent lifting 5 to 10 pounds
- Occasional lifting 10 to 50 pounds
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching
- Occasional squatting, stooping, climbing, kneeling
