About the Role

The CNC Suicide Prevention Project Coordinator is a grant funded position and will guide the CNC project by developing and implementing a comprehensive set of strategies rooted in a public health approach to suicide prevention. This role focuses on strengthening community capacity, building collaborative relationships, and supporting consistent, data-informed prevention efforts throughout Montezuma County.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement CNC capacity-building and infrastructure development initiatives within Montezuma County.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners through coalition meetings, committee participation, and conferences.
  • Assist with creating and distributing educational and informational materials such as presentations, fact sheets, newsletters, and online content.
  • Attend trainings, seminars, and conferences related to suicide prevention.
  • Complete grant reporting requirements as outlined in the Statement of Work.
  • Provide outreach, training, and support to community partners regarding CNC.
  • Prepare documentation and reports; assist in budget management using Word, Excel, and similar software.
  • Write grant proposals, reports, concept papers, and other materials necessary for funding efforts.
  • Utilize technology required for program documentation.
  • Facilitate group meetings; demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking abilities; work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Maintain regular and dependable attendance; willingness to travel locally and occasionally out-of-state.
  • Work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with at least one year of related experience, or equivalent education and/or lived experience.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills; bilingual ability is a plus.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems and work with varying concrete variables.
  • Proficiency in word processing software, internet tools, and the ability to learn program systems.
  • Valid Colorado driver's license.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in both office settings and outdoor environments, occasionally involving exposure to weather conditions.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Visual requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, along with the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly required to sit and perform computer-based tasks; occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and smell.
