Job Overview

Salary up to $50,000 for part‑time work for one year term only (4‑day student work week). Experienced Colorado Licensed Teacher for K‑8 School Instructional Coach, part‑time, temporary (one year) position.

Position Summary
  • Instructional Coaching Cycles
    • Conduct classroom observations
    • Facilitate post‑observation coaching conversations
    • Model instructional strategies aligned with Tier I instruction and literacy supports
    • Support teachers in implementing data‑driven instructional adjustments
  • PLC Facilitation
    • Facilitate PLC meetings focused on instructional practices and student data
    • Support teachers in analyzing assessment data to inform instruction
    • Align PLC discussions with the school’s instructional model and improvement goals
  • Instructional Systems Development
    • Develop coaching protocols and observation tools
    • Create documentation systems for coaching cycles
    • Establish systems for tracking instructional improvement progress
  • Teacher Professional Learning
    • Provide targeted professional learning sessions aligned with UIP priorities
    • Support implementation of early literacy practices aligned with READ Act expectations
    • Assist teachers in integrating data from iReady, MAP, and Dibels into instructional planning
  • Time Allocation (Approximate)
    • 50% – Instructional coaching cycles (observations, modeling, feedback)
    • 25% – PLC facilitation and collaborative instructional planning
    • 15% – Development of coaching systems and instructional tools
    • 10% – Professional learning and instructional resource development
Instructional Coaching Implementation Timeline (2026–27)
  • Summer 2026 (Planning and Framework Development)
    • In July, prior to the start of the school year, the TOSA will work with school leadership to develop the instructional coaching framework, including coaching protocols, observation tools, feedback cycles, and documentation systems aligned with the school’s instructional vision and UIP priorities. The TOSA will also collaborate with leadership to plan PLC structures and professional learning aligned with early literacy supports, Tier I instructional practices, and data‑informed instruction.
  • August–September 2026 (Launch of Coaching Systems)
    • At the beginning of the school year, the TOSA will introduce the instructional coaching framework to staff and begin the first coaching cycle. Teachers will establish instructional goals aligned with school improvement priorities, including strengthening Tier I instruction and early literacy practices. The TOSA will begin classroom observations, facilitate PLC meetings focused on student data analysis, and provide coaching feedback to support implementation of instructional strategies.
  • October 2026–February 2027 (Full Implementation and Continuous Coaching Cycles)
    • During this phase, the TOSA will implement ongoing coaching cycles that include classroom observations, modeling of instructional practices, feedback conversations, and collaborative reflection. PLC meetings will focus on analyzing assessment data (iReady, MAP, and Dibels) and aligning instruction to identified student needs. The TOSA will also support the development of teacher leadership by facilitating peer observation opportunities and collaborative instructional planning.
