The City of Cortez is hiring a Collection Development Supervisor to guide and coordinate the library’s collection development process, ensuring materials are selected, organized, and maintained in line with sound librarianship practices and the library’s Collection Development Policy. This role also supports library operations through essential clerical and service-related tasks.
Key responsibilities include supervising collection development workflows, maintaining accurate files and records, and building reliable electronic and physical file management systems.
Required qualifications/skills:- Bachelor’s Degree, or three years of library-related experience (or equivalent combination);
Master of Library Science preferred - Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships with co-workers and the public
- Computer literacy, including the ability to teach patrons and staff computer skills
- Valid Colorado driver license

Additional Info & RequirementsThis position works closely with the Library Director to oversee library operations. The person filling this position will directly supervise 4 part-time staff.
