The City of Cortez has two student representative openings on the Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Advisory Board. The responsibilities include: review and make recommendation to the Parks and Recreation Director concerning Parks and Recreation Department programs, facilities, procedures, master plan and other strategic planning, rules, and fees; bring comments, complaints and suggestions to the advisory board; help to promote the programs and facilities of the Parks and Recreation Department;
and review and make recommendations to the City Council as needed on budget, policy and the master plan. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 3:00 p.m., at City Hall. The terms are for a two-year appointments. Interested applicants must complete the Boards and Commissions Application . Please contact the City Clerk at or cityclerk for more information.
