City of Cortez - Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Advisory Board Openings

The City of Cortez is accepting applications for four member openings and two
student representative openings on the Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Advisory Board. The Board responsibilities include: review and make recommendation to the Parks and Recreation Director concerning Parks and Recreation Department programs, facilities, procedures, master plan and other strategic planning, rules, and fees; bring comments, complaints and suggestions to the advisory board; help to promote the programs and facilities of the Parks and Recreation Department;

and review and make recommendations to the City Council as needed on budget, policy and the master plan. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 3:00 p.m., at City Hall.

Two openings must be filled by City residents, while two openings may be filled h appointment carries a two-year term.
