Cortez - Pre-PM Technician

As part of the Mine Maintenance team, the successful candidate will conduct detailed inspections of equipment, post-PM for a variety of heavy mobile equipment in our open pit. This role rotates and interfaces with predictive maintenance, maintenance engineering, planning, and general supervision. Your work will inform maintenance activities to drive and retain equipment reliability to desired levels to support our production.

Responsibilities:

• Execute planned inspections to identify defects for planned maintenance work
• Identify maintenance work and create notifications
• Generate subsequent notifications for additional work identified that is not in the work order
• Provide feedback on work executed and make recommendations for improvement
• Perform maintenance tasks compliant with recommended hydrocarbon management practices
• Measure cleanliness of hydrocarbons to ensure compliance with standards and detect substandard conditions with minimal delay
• Apply processes, procedures, and standards to support best practices in hydrocarbon air and coolant management
• Comply with site environmental standards to prevent land and waterway contamination
• Perform maintenance according to procedures identified or changed through the DE process
• Review daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs

Qualifications:

• Eight (8) plus years of experience in maintenance of mobile, farm, trucking, aircraft, military, or support equipment preferred
• Strong knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics required
• Ability to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision required
• Effective communication skills with a wide variety of people required
• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor under all weather conditions required
• Lift at least 50 lbs. required
• Proven safe work record with a commitment to courageous leadership required
• Ability to be an initial team member in a growing, fast-paced environment, supporting safety, environmental, equipment protection, and production goals with a proven safety record required
• Good written and verbal communication skills are a must.
