Position Summary
- The Office Assistant 1 position will support the registration and scheduling functions of the Registrar's Office and provide general office support by assisting with walk-in traffic, phones, and emails. This position will process student forms related to registration, assist with the course build process, and be responsible forTEACHauthorizations, student biographical data, and degree conferral checklists.

Major Responsibilities
- Office Support Front desk/office reception, greet and direct students, answer phones, and respond to emails.

Interact positively with other office staff, students, faculty, and other visitors to the office.

Oversee daily mail operations by efficiently sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing correspondence.

Registration & Course Adjustments Manage student registration processes by reviewing and approving alternate registrations, credit overloads, and course withdrawals.

Evaluate special enrollment requests, including time conflict overrides, prior felony disclosures, and undergraduate permission to take graduate courses.

Records Administration & Student Tracking Maintain student data integrity by updating biographical information, including change of address forms.

Track specialized student populations to ensure compliance and support, with a focus on Honors program students and veteran/military-connected individuals.

Academic Scheduling & Graduation Services Maintain accurate semester schedules by updating course sections within the Banner student information system.

Facilitate graduation clearance through the processing of degree conferral checklists, enterTEACHauthorizations into the database, and update special graduate-level course approvals.

Training Participate in continuing education activities such as computer classes/programs and other relevant professional development.

Functional and Supervisory Relationships
- Reports to the University Registrar.

Works closely with all academic departments in the Schools of Education, Arts & Sciences, and Professional Studies, and administrative offices, including Student Accounts and the offices of the Associate Deans Offices.
