Cart Attendant

What you’ll do

Cart Attendants ensure customers have a great first and last impression of the store.

Key responsibilities include:

• Gather carts from the parking lot and move them into the store using equipment.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of shopping carts, restrooms, sales floor, and parking lots.
• Assist customers during checkout tasks (e.g., scanning items, bagging, handling cash and returns).
• Keep work areas clean and presentable while operating equipment safely.
• Provide a friendly greeting, assistance, and thank customers, maintaining a positive attitude in all weather conditions.

Schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, requiring the ability to multitask and work at a fast pace.

Skills & Qualifications

• Positive, customer‑focused attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Excellent teamwork and willingness to assist associates across the store.
• Basic math skills for handling cash and returns.
• Reliability and flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives and premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
