This post is for a student employee role at Oregon State University's Facilities Services Work Coordination Center.
Position SummaryThe Work Coordination Center staff need assistance with daily operations, including greeting walk-in customers, answering phones, monitoring emails, work order creation, and clerical duties.
Key Responsibilities- Greet walk-in customers and attendees.
- Answer phones and direct calls.
- Monitor and reply to emails.
- Create and track work orders.
- Perform general clerical duties and assist with other assigned tasks.
- Currently enrolled in high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program of study.
- Maintain good academic standing (students on suspension are not eligible).
- Meet minimal enrollment standards:
- High school: regular enrollment or qualifying home-school program.
- Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate: 6 credit hours per term.
- Undergraduate international: 12 credit hours per term.
- Graduate: 5 credit hours per term.
- Graduate international: 9 credit hours per term.
- Possess strong organizational skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience creating spreadsheets.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with data entry.
- Must successfully complete a criminal history check and be position qualified (OSU Standard et seq.).
- Must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check and possess a valid driver's license.
- Experience with work-management software.
- Approximately 20 hours per week.
The position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive role. Candidates must pass a criminal background check, a motor vehicle history check, and a review of the National Sex Offender Public website. All job offers are contingent upon Human Resources final approval.
