Medical Receptionist, Healthcare Administration
The Corvallis Clinic, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Referral Clerk for Ophthalmology and ENT.
Location (Full‑Time Onsite)444 NW Elks Drive, Corvallis, OR 97330. May be required to travel to additional locations for coverage.
Schedule40‑hour work week. 8‑hour shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. PST. Schedule will be determined by the supervisor upon hire.
Primary Responsibilities- Manage administrative intake of members
- Work with clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers
- Manage the referral process, processing incoming and outgoing referrals and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
- Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers
- Ability to update patient's charts
- Answer incoming and outgoing calls
- Enter all data into the electronic health record according to company policies and procedures
- Ability to support front office staff as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned

Hourly pay range $18.00 to $32.00 per hour, based on full‑time employment. Pay is based on local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
Required Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of computer proficiency experience (multi‑task through multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- 1+ years of experience working in a medical office position performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, insurance verification, collecting co‑pays, and maintaining medical records or Healthcare experience
- Experience working with an electronic health record
- Knowledge of Medical terms
- Experience working with scheduling programs
- A clerical or administrative support background
- Ability to work well with providers, clinical staff and patients
- Ability to work independently and maintain good judgment and accountability
- Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others
