Your impact
We’re seeking a Senior Construction Contract Administration Lead to be based in Corvallis, OR, responsible for leading construction contract administration services, managing project-related risks, and supporting project, business, and technical functions throughout construction. As a member of our CCA team, you will lead Construction Administration projects consisting of multi-discipline teams of engineers and architects from client bid support through construction to beneficial occupancy and project closeout.
You will primarily support federal projects for the United States Department of Defense (DoD) clients, Federal Civilian type contracts, and various Defense Contractors with Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build delivery methods. The successful candidate will lead projects virtually with some field presence as required by project and client needs.
The ideal candidate is a self-directed construction professional with demonstrated experience administering complex construction contracts, building productive relationships with clients and contractors, identifying project risks, resolving issues proactively, and exercising sound professional judgment by delivering cost-effective and value-added decisions with limited supervision.
Experience supporting federal projects for DoD clients, Federal Civilian, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC), the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC), National Park Service (NPS), and various Defense Contractors is strongly preferred.
This position follows a hybrid work model. Employees are required to work from their assigned Jacobs office, client site, or project site a minimum of two days per week (40% of scheduled work time) when not assigned to project site activities. Responsibilities- Serve as the lead CCA representative for assigned projects, managing multiple project assignments simultaneously while effectively collaborating with clients, contractors, design teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of construction-related activities, including document control, sequencing of work, and construction execution, as well as building systems and architectural/engineering disciplines. Effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse project stakeholders, clients, contractors, and design professionals.
- Identify, evaluate, and communicate emerging contractual, schedule, cost, quality, and constructability risks throughout the construction phase of project delivery.
- Evaluate project impacts arising from RFIs, submittals, differing site conditions, contractor requests, delays, and change proposals. Support claims avoidance strategies through proactive issue resolution and documentation. Assist project teams and clients in mitigating risks before escalation into disputes, claims, or schedule impacts, and maintain documentation necessary to support project decisions and defend contract interpretations.
- Review, interpret, and apply construction drawings, Division 01 specifications, General Conditions, Supplemental Conditions, technical specifications, agreements, and other contract documents in support of construction-phase decision making and contract administration activities.
- Establish and maintain project-specific document control procedures, records management systems, and Construction Information System (CIS) to ensure accurate, complete, and auditable project documentation.
- Manage the processing and tracking of RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, product data, samples, project correspondence, and other contractual documentation. Monitor review timelines, coordinate stakeholder input, and maintain project logs to support timely decision-making and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Coordinate and lead project related team meetings and discussions.
- Coordinate with the Regional Quality Control Manager and assist in technical document quality control and constructability reviews during the design process.
- Understand relationships, roles, and responsibilities of the project team related to subcontracts and subcontractors.
- When requested, support the Jacobs Project Manager with the development of CCA Services, proposal fees, and scope definition in preparation to lead these services later during construction.
