The Corvallis Gazette‑Times is looking for its next great journalist. Join our national‑ and regional‑award‑winning team to cover the city of Corvallis, a vibrant university town with more than 60% holding at least a bachelor’s degree and more than 20% a master’s or above. • Report and write stories for both print and digital platforms
• Take photos and videos to accompany stories
• Post and optimize content for the web and social media
• Build sources and generate story ideas independently
• Help grow and engage our digital subscriber base

• Strong writing and reporting skills with knowledge of AP style
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with (or willingness to learn) photography, videography and digital publishing
• Curiosity, initiative and a genuine interest in community journalism
• Comfort working across both print and digital platforms

• A journalism degree is preferred, but internships and relevant experience will be considered
• Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance required

This position may include some night and weekend hours. The ability to produce timely, accurate reporting in today’s fast‑moving digital news environment is essential.
