Job Summary

This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (approximately 20 hours per week) Administrative Program Assistant position for the Department of Horticulture at Oregon State University (OSU).

This position resides in the Department of Horticulture and supports various programs including Horticulture, Entomology, Plant Breeding and Genetics, undergraduate degree programs and the Horticulture Graduate Program. This position provides service to a variety of audiences: prospective and current students, in degree seeking and non-degree seeking status, as well as faculty and other OSU administrative units. The nature of the service requires knowledge of and articulating institutional policy and procedure related to admission, registration, program requirements across a variety of undergraduate degree programs and minors, and Horticulture Graduate Program.

The incumbent is expected to provide excellent customer service and requires knowledge of university, college, graduate school, and department operations, procedures, and guidelines.
