Position Summary
This recruitment will fill multiple Bridge Peer Leader positions for the Department of Educational Pathways (DEP) at Oregon State University (OSU). DEP seeks student Peer Leaders to join the Summer Bridge program and academic year mentoring, working in small teams to mentor and guide incoming freshmen to OSU through workshops and team building activities.
Responsibilities- Participate in a 1.5‑2 day training program followed by the full one week long EOP or ROOTS Summer Bridge program in the 2 weeks prior to Fall term.
- Serve as peer mentors throughout the academic year, helping build a sense of belonging and community for incoming students.
- Keep track of student attendance.
- Facilitate team building activities.
- Provide campus tours.
- Communicate with students, other peer leaders, and EOP staff.
- Must be academically enrolled in OSU and pursuing a program or course of study.
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible.
- Must meet applicable minimal enrollment standard:
- High School student: regularly enrolled in a high school or home‑schooling program.
- Undergraduate and post‑baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term.
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term.
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term.
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term.
- Previous experience with EOP or ROOTS Summer Bridge Program as a student or mentor.
- Completed at least two terms at Oregon State University.
- Able to work 1‑2 weeks in September prior to Fall term.
- Able to work an average of 10‑12 hours per term.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, organization, and accountability.
- Problem‑solving skills, including persistence and resilience.
- Ability to collaborate with others in a team setting.
- Commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
- Experience and familiarity with campus resources.
- Leadership experience and skills.

Pay Rate:
Minimum $15.05 (Standard); $14.05 (Non‑Urban); $16.30 (Portland Metro). Maximum $21.50 (Standard); $21.00 (Non‑Urban); $22.00 (Portland Metro).
