Academic Faculty, fixed‑term, non‑tenure‑track (full‑/part‑time). - Location:
Corvallis, Bend, Portland Center, and Hatfield Marine Science Center (Statewide). Remote or hybrid option: not specified.
The Department of General Agriculture invites applications for one or more instructor positions to teach on a term‑by‑term basis for the 2025‑2026 academic year and the fall term 2026. Positions may be reviewed for renewal or transition to a permanent instructional position at the discretion of the Department Head.
The department expects instructors to foster critical thinking and advance student knowledge and skills through teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in Agricultural Sciences, Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Communications, Agricultural Education, and/or Leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in the aforementioned fields, 100 % of instructional time.
– Minimum Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Education, Leadership, Communication, or a related discipline appropriate to the field of teaching/instruction.
- Relevant teaching experience at the high school, college, or university level.
- Demonstrated success and commitment to effective teaching and service.
- Demonstrable commitment and ability to work with faculty, students, industry clientele, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work with a variety of learners in diverse settings such as online education and continuing professional development.
- Teaching experience in online education or continuing professional development.
- Certification in a technical area relevant to courses taught (e.g., Agricultural Systems Management).
- Experience working with industry clientele and stakeholders.
