This recruitment will be used to fill up to two part-time (maximum 24 hours per week) Operations Assistant positions at the Oregon State University College of Pharmacy, located in the OHSU Robertson Life Sciences Building (RLSB) on the South Waterfront in Portland, Oregon. Please note, you do not need to be an Oregon State University student to apply!
The position plays a crucial role in the main office, serving as the primary point of contact for visitors, students, faculty, and staff, and providing administrative and operational support for academic programs.
Working conditions and work schedule:
Standard office environment with hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. May be required to push, pull, and/or lift up to 20 pounds. Work schedule is assigned based on your availability around your class schedule.
Typically 20 hours per week, depending on availability.

Position Duties
90% Administrative and Operational Duties:
* Greet and assist visitors, students, faculty, and staff, and direct them to appropriate resources
* Answer phone calls and reply to emails
* Assist with mail and package deliveries
* Take inventory and order supplies using the eProcurement System (Benny Buy)
* Photocopy and scan various documents
* Assist with exam formatting and printing
* Issue electronic guest parking passes and validate parking
* Backup classroom technology support
* Other general administrative tasks as needed
5% Events/Projects
* Prepare materials and supplies for various events
* Assist faculty with projects (ex: lab clean-outs)
5% Janitorial
* Vacuum and/or sweep floors
* Clean surfaces such as tables, equipment, whiteboards, windows
* Submit service requests to Facility Services, Recycling, Surplus, Mailing, and other campus partners as needed
* Take out trash/cardboard
* Other light janitorial tasks as needed

* Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
* Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
* Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
* High School student:
Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
* Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
* Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term
* * Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
* Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term
* * International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
