Position Summary
This part‑time (maximum 24 hours per week) Teaching Assistant position supports the instructor in BA 354 at the School of Entrepreneurship, Management, and Logistics. The TA assists with student inquiries, grading assignments, and classroom administrative tasks.
Responsibilities- Answer student inquiries
- Grade student assignments and other coursework
- Provide administrative support for the classroom
- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements (students on academic suspension are not eligible)
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard:
- High School student:
Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home‑schooling program - Undergraduate and post‑baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
- High School student:
- Students must have taken BA 354 or BA 354H and passed with an A‑ or higher
- Strong written and editing skills required
- Willingness to engage with students
This position is designated as a critical or security‑sensitive position; applicants must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified per OSU Standard 576‑055‑0000 et seq. Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 2 years. OSU will review the National Sex Offender Public website prior to hire.
PayPay rate: $16.05 per hour. (Minimum and maximum rates vary by location: $15.05‑$17.50 Standard; $14.05‑$17.00 Non‑Urban; $16.30‑$18.50 Portland Metro.)
