Position Summary

This recruitment will be used to fill multiple part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week during academic terms and up to 40 hours per week during academic breaks and summer) Student Outreach Assistant positions for the Kid Spirit Program in the Division of Extension and Engagement at Oregon State University (OSU).

The Youth Program Instructor (Summer Day Camp Lead Instructor including but not limited to Sports, Art, Science, Swimming, Archery and Camp Counselors) is responsible for delivering high‑quality instruction and support to youth while fostering a safe, supportive, and growth‑oriented environment. The position requires strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Responsibilities include lesson planning, safety response, equipment management, program promotion, and effective collaboration with staff, families, and supervisors.

Weekly work hours are a maximum of 40 hours per week during the summer based on student’s summer school enrollment. There are part time opportunities at 20 hours per week.
