Instructor Pool – 2025/2026 and Fall Term 2026:
School of Writing, Literature, and Film

The School of Writing, Literature, and Film invites applications for one or more fixed‑term, non‑tenure‑track full/part‑time Instructor positions to teach on a term‑by‑term basis for the 2025‑2026 academic year. Some appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the Director.

Job Summary

Instructors will be required to teach undergraduate courses in Composition, Technical and Professional Writing, Business Writing, Creative Writing, Intro to Literature, and English‑oriented ESL on campus and/or via E‑campus. Duties also include service on committees and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

90 % – Instruction:

  • Administer and teach the courses listed above.
  • Provide instruction across fall, winter, spring, and/or summer terms as needed.

10 % – Service:

  • Serve on departmental or college committees and attend or contribute to professional trainings as requested.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s degree in English, Writing, Creative Writing, Journalism, or a closely related field.
  • Teaching experience at the college or university level.
  • Demonstrated commitment to educational equity.

Preferred:

  • Doctoral degree in English or a closely related field.
  • Substantial experience teaching multiple writing subjects.
  • Experience developing curriculum for in‑person and E‑campus delivery.
