Job Summary
The Department of Botany & Plant Pathology invites applications for one or more fixed‑term, non‑tenure‑track Instructor positions to teach on a term‑by‑term basis during the 2025‑2026 academic year and the Fall Term 2026. Some appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the Department Head.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Botany, Biology, and/or Biological Data Sciences.
- Prepare course materials, deliver lectures, facilitate discussions and assessments.
- Coordinate and lead field trips or sample collections using university vehicles as required.
- Master’s degree in Botany, Plant Pathology, Biology, or a related life science.
- Commitment to cultural diversity and educational equity.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle history check if required to operate university vehicles.
- Ph.D. in Botany, Plant Pathology, Biology, or a related life science.
- Teaching experience at the college or university level.
