Job Summary
Oregon State University’s School of Communications (CLA) is seeking an Instructor of Speech Communication for a fixed‑term, non‑tenure‑track position for the 2025‑2026 academic year. The appointment is full‑time or part‑time and will be renewed or transitioned on an annual basis at the discretion of the Director.
This instructor will teach undergraduate courses in public speaking, argument and critical discourse, and interpersonal communication, either on campus or via E‑campus.
Location:
Corvallis, Oregon. Appointment type:
Academic Faculty.
- Approximately 90% of the time teaching courses (instruction).
- Approximately 10% of the time performing service activities (service).
- MA, MS, or Ph.D. in Communication or a related field.
- College or university‑level teaching experience.
- Commitment to educational equity.
- Demonstrated ability to design, teach, and assess courses that support inclusive learning principles and promote equitable teaching practices.
Term: 09/16/2025 – 06/15/2026.

Corvallis, Oregon. Pay:
Salary commensurate with skills, education, and experience. Pay period: monthly. Pay date: last working day of the month.
