Instructor (PAC) – Spring, Summer, and Fall 2026:
Team & Individual Sports
Applications will be considered throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall terms of 2026. The position is a fixed-term, non‑tenure track full/part‑time instructor in the Physical Activities Course (PAC) program located in the School of Exercise, Sport, and Health Sciences.
Job SummaryThe PAC Instructor will teach courses in Team & Individual Sports and serve as a member of the PAC Program team. Responsibilities include curriculum development, delivery of engaging instruction, assessment of student learning, and participation in program planning.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching: Plan and deliver instruction, develop learning outcomes, assess student progress, submit quality syllabi and grades, respond to emergencies, and provide student advisement.
- Professional Growth: Stay current in subject matter, participate in professional development, support program planning and long‑range goals, and contribute to the development of instructional materials.
- Support: Substitute for other instructors, attend meetings and events, and maintain confidentiality of student information.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Current, valid Adult CPR and AED Essentials.
- Current, valid First Aid certification.
- Current, valid Concussion training.
- Evident commitment to educational equity.
- At least 2 years of coaching or teaching at any level.
- Ability to physically perform and demonstrate applicable skills in your discipline.
- Final candidates must complete a sexual misconduct reference check, per University Policy 05‑010. An offer of employment will be contingent upon satisfactory results.
- Master’s degree in any field or Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to design, teach, and assess courses that support inclusive learning and equitable teaching practices.
- Minimum of 5 years of coaching or instructing sports programs.
- Previous teaching experience in a higher education setting.
- Experience assessing student learning outcomes and curriculum development.

SalaryStarting salary range: $32,100 – $39,233. Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and training/certification.
