POSITION OVERVIEW
This position supports an ever-growing state developed and governed early childhood program that offers specialized services to our youngest learners. You will be part of a highly skilled team providing services and supports to eligible children ages birth through five and their families. This position is multifaceted and dynamic and services may be provided through home visits, LBL stand‑alone classrooms, LBL classrooms embedded in our constituent districts, and/or within community preschools.
As part of this team of specialists, you will collaborate, coach, create, support and build connections with students, families, colleagues and community partners. As you help our program grow and expand, you have the opportunity to stretch and develop professionally.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Special Education licensure from TSPC with Early Childhood Special Education endorsement or Oregon Department of Education EI/ECSE Authorization
- Demonstrated successful experience in Early Intervention, Early Childhood Special Education or Special Education.
- Effective working knowledge of special education process and law.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Successful experience providing direct and/or consultation EI/ECSE services in though home visiting and/or preschool teaching.
- Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail to meet deadlines.
- Ability to respond in a positive cooperative manner to direction.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize the work schedule, take initiative, and use good judgment in the performance of tasks.
- Ability to meet requirements of fingerprint‑based criminal history record verification.
