Job Summary
We are seeking an R&D Engineering Manager to lead a diverse team of engineers in developing and improving innovative products. You will be responsible for the full product lifecycle—from concept and design to testing and commercialization—ensuring that designs meet customer requirements and quality expectations. You will act as a key liaison between R&D, NPI, and Manufacturing teams across Corvallis, Singapore, and HPMM.
Key Responsibilities & ObjectivesPerform all the required management duties including:
- Cascading prioritized objectives
- Setting team and individual objectives
- Resource planning and execution
- Completing performance conversations
- Giving actionable feedback
- Recognizing contributions
- Managing budget and spend
- Understanding of the PDP and TDP
- Help the team understand the tradeoff space
- Understand the print markets and what the business and customers expect from the new designs
- Partner with Hardware, Process and Tooling, Product and Product Integration engineering teams
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field). - Experience:
5+ years of experience leading engineer teams as program manager or engineering technical lead. - Technical
Skills:
Strong understanding of Project Management Fundamentals, PDP and TDP, manufacturing processes, DOE, and statistical process control. - Leadership:
Demonstrated experience leading teams and developing high‑performing teams; demonstrated people leadership and development skills including interpersonal, teamwork, mentoring, technical development, motivational, and communication skills. - Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. - Partnering:
Cross‑cultural work experience.
- Previous Management Experience
- Experience with Design and Reliability Predictions
- Managing budgets
The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $175,000 USD annually, with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applicable to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
