RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Corvallis, OR that is seeking an International Regulatory Compliance Consultant expert for industrial machinery products.

Summary:

This consultant will support our enterprise technology client's regulatory compliance lead with standards research, compliance planning, certification support, technical reviews, and communication with internal product teams and external test partners.

The role requires someone who can work effectively across engineering, product management, manufacturing partners, documentation/training teams, and third-party regulatory test organizations. The ideal consultant will be able to translate complex international safety and machinery compliance requirements into practical guidance that supports compliant product design, certification, installation, and field support.

Primary Areas of Support:

* Research, interpret, and summarize applicable international safety, machinery, and regulatory compliance requirements for our client's industrial machinery products and related peripheral equipment

* Support design teams by identifying compliance requirements early in the development process and helping translate those requirements into design guidance

* Assist with planning, coordination, and documentation for compliance testing and certification activities with external third-party test labs and certification bodies

* Provide compliance input for prototypes, risk assessments, functional safety documentation, operator/service manuals, warning labels, nameplates, and related product information

* Help prepare concise compliance updates, findings, recommendations, and status summaries for our client's design teams and leadership

* Support investigation and guidance related to field compliance issues, especially where machinery safety or potential personal injury concerns may be involved

REQUIREMENTS:

* Practical experience with industrial machinery, safety compliance and familiarity with applicable international standards, directives, and certification schemes;

Experience with the EU Machinery Directive/Machinery Regulation, EN 1010, EN 12100, EN 60204-1, ISO 13849-1, ISO 13850, ISO 13855, ISO 13857, ISO 14119, ISO 14120, ISO 14122, OSHA/NRTL field evaluations, and related UL/CSA/IEC/ISO standards would be highly relevant

* Experience working with third-party test and certification organizations, such as TUV-SUD, TUV-Rheinland, Intertek, CSA, Element, UL, or similar organizations is also important;
The consultant should be comfortable building effective working relationships with these organizations and preparing documentation to support certification, field labeling, or regulatory review activities

* Strong communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise compliance updates, recommendations, and status summaries for technical teams and leadership

* Skilled working across engineering, manufacturing partners, product management, documentation, training, legal, marketing, and external supplier teams

Travel Considerations:
Some travel may be required to support U.S. field evaluations, manufacturing partner audits, or third-party test activities. Travel requirements can be discussed further during the consultant selection process.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
