Financial Manager
The Benton County finance department is seeking a Budget Manager to join our team.
JOB SUMMARYThe Budget Manager is responsible for supervising the Budgeting Team, consisting of four budget analysts, within the Financial Services Department. The Budgeting Team leads the development, monitoring and analysis of the adopted budgets for the County and County Service Districts, and ensures compliance with all county, state, and federal budget requirements. The position also performs complex analysis and technical work related to countywide financial and budget activities;
conducts countywide revenue and expenditures trend analyses; develops and manages revenue forecasting methodology and models, interprets legal and policy restrictions on resource used; and identifies opportunities and risks to county’s budget. The work and recommendations of this position and the team it manages provides the basis for budgetary financial decisions that impact the entire county.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBudget Manager
The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:
- Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college - Experience:
even years of governmental accounting/budgeting experience including three years of experience in a supervisory or management role - Please note:
Supervisory experience includes the authority to hire, terminate, assign, reward and discipline other employees - A cover letter is required to be submitted with the application for this position.

Please also include details of your management experience, including details of the number and types of employees you have supervised.
- Municipal accounting/budgeting experience with similar sized organization is preferred.

This position is eligible for up to two salary raises within your first year. An Increase may be given at the end of the 6-month probationary period, depending on starting salary, and at the 1-year anniversary, as long as your performance is in good standing!
