Position Summary
Medical Assistants work with health care providers to deliver primary care to clients of the Community Health Center by preparing patients for physical exams, recording health information, phlebotomy, collecting specimens, performing screening tests, and performing administrative and clerical duties related to the patient care process.
ResponsibilitiesAssist medical providers in patient examinations, record health information, perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, perform screening tests, and complete administrative and clerical duties in a patient‑centered, team‑based care delivery model serving a diverse patient population.
Minimum Qualifications- Technical training beyond high school in Medical Assisting or a directly related field that allows for a State or Federal recognized medical assistant certification.
- One year of work experience in a similar field or work setting (e.g., nursing assistant, home health aide, personal care aide).
- Current State or Federally recognized medical assistant certification.
- Training and skill to administer immunizations to patients of all ages or willingness to learn.
- Background check completion required.
- Driving required; may require use of a personal vehicle.
