Job Details
Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Corvallis, Oregon.
Start date:
07/13/2026. This is a 40‑hour per week, 8‑hour day shift, travel‑based position.
The Cath Lab Technologist assists in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab. Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, monitoring hemodynamic data, assisting physicians during procedures, operating imaging equipment, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring patient safety.
Responsibilities- Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional procedures.
- Assist physicians during procedures by passing catheters, wires, balloons, stents, and operating fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, contrast injectors, and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
- Scrub in and assist with sterile field setup, ensuring adherence to infection control and procedural protocols.
- Perform sheath removal and hemostasis using manual compression or closure devices as directed.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including patient records, imaging data, and equipment logs.
- Assist with inventory management, stocking supplies, and ensuring proper storage of sterile instruments and medications.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols, using lead aprons, shields, and dosimeters.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
Required
- One year’s recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech.
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
- ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification.
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
Preferred
- Valid Radiologic Technologist license in state compliance.
- PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications.
- Other relevant certifications and licenses.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Proficiency with PC and ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
- Physical Abilities – Able to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
- Interpersonal Skills – Works effectively with diverse personnel, maintains professionalism.
- Technical/Motor Skills – Fine manipulation, assist with procedures, use department equipment.
- Mental Requirements – Manage frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with minimal supervision, handle irregular schedules.
