DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Diagnostic Imaging teams at Samaritan Health Services use state-of-the-art imaging technology while providing health care teams with the information needed for a fast, accurate diagnosis. This role is within the Cardiac Cath and Interventional Radiology departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • - Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology labs.
  • - Operate imaging equipment to acquire diagnostic images.
  • - Prepare patients for procedures, including patient education and monitoring.
  • - Provide direct patient care during procedures.
  • - Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
  • - Document procedures and patient information accurately in the EMR.
  • - Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • - Current ARRT RT(R) credential required.
  • - Current unencumbered Oregon license in Radiologic Technology required.
  • - Healthcare Provider BLS required.
  • - AHA ACLS required.
Experience
  • - One (1) year of experience or training in a Cath Lab/Angio hospital setting preferred.
Certifications
  • - ARRT RT(R)
  • - Oregon Radiologic Technology License
  • - BLS (Healthcare Provider)
  • - ACLS (AHA)
Skills
  • - Technical proficiency in cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures.
  • - Ability to operate diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • - Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • - Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
