Payer Contracting Director

Overview

At Samaritan Health Services, we are looking for a strategic and relationship‑driven Payer Contracting Director to lead payer contracting initiatives that directly support our mission of improving the health of our communities. This is an exciting opportunity for a healthcare contracting professional who enjoys negotiating complex agreements, analyzing financial performance, and collaborating across clinical and operational teams to develop innovative payment solutions.

• Lead payer contracting initiatives to support our mission of improving community health.
• Serve as a key liaison between Samaritan and health plans to optimize contract performance and advance value‑based care strategies.
• Lead contract review, negotiation, and performance management.
• Collaborate closely with Quality, Population Health, and Clinical teams to explore, negotiate, and implement new payment methodologies and value‑based payment strategies.
• Build and maintain payer contracts in the computer system.
• Maintain onsite presence in Corvallis, OR for meetings when required.

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a healthcare‑related field required;
  Master’s degree preferred.
• Four (4) years of experience in a position of similar responsibility and complexity required.
• Experience or training in managed care systems and contract terminology preferred.
