Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Management
The Samaritan Health Services Administrative Fellowship Program provides a unique opportunity for master's-prepared graduates to gain meaningful, hands-on experience across a diverse and integrated health system. Designed for early career healthcare leaders, the fellowship combines practical learning, executive exposure, and project-based work to build a strong foundation for a career in healthcare administration. Over the course of the year, fellows rotate through key areas of the organization, including Human Resources, Information Services, Finance, Quality, Administration, Samaritan Medical Group, Samaritan Health Plans, Strategy & Planning, and both acute care and critical access hospital operations.
These experiences offer a broad understanding of how different parts of the health system work together to support patients, providers, and communities. Fellows work closely with executive leaders on strategic and operational initiatives that have a real impact across the organization. In addition to gaining firsthand experience within Samaritan's five hospitals, provider clinics, and health plan, fellows have opportunities for professional development, including attendance at the ACHE Congress on Healthcare Leadership.
As a nonprofit health system serving more than 290,000 residents across the mid-Willamette Valley and Oregon Coast, Samaritan Health Services is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care for everyone in the communities we serve. The fellowship reflects that commitment by developing future healthcare leaders who are passionate about improving healthcare delivery and making a difference in the lives of others.
