Job Summary:
Program Coordinators assist in overseeing the daily operations of the assigned program to ensure the quality of services provided to supported individuals. This includes, but is not limited to, managing the program’s schedule, payroll, and finances, as well as the confidential safekeeping and management of supported individuals’ personal information.
Minimum QualificationsEligibility for Employment
- Pass initial criminal history check from the Department of Human Services and recheck every 2 years.
- Be a citizen of the United States or legally able to work in the United States.
- Be at least eighteen years old, hold a current driver’s license, insurance, and a good driving record.
- Complete required training and annual training thereafter.
- Maintain regular attendance and perform tasks outlined in this description with or without a reasonable accommodation (essential function).
Knowledge, Education, and Experience
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- Two or more years of experience providing direct support to adults with disabilities, including hands‑on assistance with ADLs.
- At least one year of formal management or supervisory experience, including coordinating program operations, managing finances, ensuring policy compliance, and supervising employees.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development, Psychology, or related field preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Oversee time, attendance, and performance of one or more Program Managers.
- Interview, hire, and terminate staff as needed (in conjunction with the management team and HR).
General Responsibilities
- direct oversight and overall operation of the program(s) ensuring quality of life aligns with Home Life philosophy and values.
- Maintain accessibility for staff to share concerns, problems, and grievances.
- Share on‑call responsibilities with the management team and provide direct support to supported individuals as needed.
- Manage community‑related issues, keep Services Director and County informed of major issues.
- Communicate pertinent information regarding supported individuals or the program as needed.
- Ensure programs meet standards set by applicable OARs.
- Delegate responsibilities/work assignments to Program Managers and DSPs.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with parents/guardians and supported individuals.
- Coordinate with other programs as needed for company events and problem resolution.
Scheduling
- Coordinate staff schedules, including substitutes and volunteers, to ensure adequate coverage.
- Meet weekly with Program Manager to plan scheduling.
Meetings
- Attend weekly meetings with the Services Director and provide reports on program status.
- Conduct weekly meetings with Program Managers and receive reports on program status.
