Division Manager

Benton County's Developmental Diversity Services department is seeking a Division Manager. The Developmental Diversity Division supports children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families throughout Benton County. The division helps individuals connect with services and supports that promote independence, safety, inclusion, and quality of life. Staff work closely with individuals, families, providers, schools, state partners, and community organizations to ensure services are person-centered and responsive to individual needs.

The Division Manager leads a team of dedicated professionals responsible for service coordination, quality assurance, eligibility determination, protective services, and other programs that support individuals across the lifespan. This position is responsible for operations, budget management, staff supervision, program planning, policy development, quality improvement, and compliance with state and federal requirements.

This role requires someone who can balance day-to-day operational responsibilities with longer-term planning and program development. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in complex systems, supporting staff, building relationships with partners, and helping navigate challenges that affect individuals and families receiving services.

As a member of the Health Services leadership team, the Division Manager contributes to cross-divisional planning and problem-solving efforts and helps ensure that community members can access services and supports across systems.

Benton County has a long history of leadership in developmental disabilities services. The county was one of the first in Oregon to pilot a community-based service coordination model, helping shape the statewide system that exists today. The Developmental Diversity Division continues that work by supporting individuals and families and helping build a community where people with disabilities can thrive.

This is an opportunity to lead a well-established program, support a talented team, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of Benton County residents.

Benton County offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to meet the needs of its employees and their families. Competitive benefits and an active employee wellness program is a top priority for the County.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Education, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Social Sciences, Human Services or related field; AND 5 years of progressively responsible professional work experience in human services, social services, diverse populations, or other related fields, including at least two years of supervisory experience.
