General Production Associate

This role supports a custom rubber compounding and mixing facility that has been delivering high-quality rubber compounds and service for over half a century. You will start in an entry-level production position focused on palletizing manufactured rubber and, as you demonstrate reliability and strong performance, you will be cross-trained in multiple areas of the production process, including batching, assisting mixers, and unloading rubber after it has been mixed.

• Palletize manufactured rubber by taking long strips from the production line and carefully weaving them onto pallets for shipment to customers.
• Arrange rubber strips in an organized, back-and-forth pattern and cross-weave layers to create stable, neatly stacked pallets.
• Support batching operations by pulling ingredients and compounds and weighing them according to work orders to prepare mixes that create rubber compounds.
• Assist the mixer operator during rubber mixing processes to ensure efficient and accurate production.
• Unload mixed rubber from the mixer and prepare it to be cut into specified strips for further processing or shipment.
• Work as a general labor and production team member to meet daily output and quality goals.
• Operate or assist with machine operation and palletizing equipment as needed, following safety and operational guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members across three connected buildings to complete daily production tasks while working at individual stations.
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance and follow all workplace policies and procedures.
• Adapt to working in a dirty manufacturing environment with exposure to rubber dust and production residues.

• Previous production experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated track record of strong and reliable attendance, verified through references.
• Willingness to work in a dirty manufacturing environment with exposure to rubber dust.
• Go-getter mentality with a proactive, hands-on approach to work.
• Ability to perform general labor tasks, including lifting, moving, and arranging materials.
• Capability to work in general production and machine operation settings.
• Attention to detail when palletizing and batching to ensure accuracy and neatness.
• Ability to work both independently at a station and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Forklift operation experience, particularly with sit-down propane forklifts, is a plus.
• Willingness to learn forklift operation with potential to operate after being hired on directly.
• Experience with palletizing processes in a production environment.
• Comfort working in facilities with multiple buildings and production stations.

The role is based in a very dirty manufacturing facility due to the nature of rubber production. You will be exposed to rubber dust throughout the day, and it is expected that this dust will accumulate on your clothing by the end of each shift. The facility consists of three buildings, and you will work at individual stations while collaborating as part of a broader production team to complete daily work.

The environment includes general production equipment, palletizing setups, and potential use of sit-down propane forklifts, with an emphasis on safety and efficient workflow in an industrial setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Corvallis, OR.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
