BBYO Chapter Development Specialist, Evergreen Region Small Cities

Ashland, Bend, Corvallis, Eugene, Olympia, Spokane, or Tacoma

At BBYO, our mission drives us. It inspires us to reimagine work, so it feels fun, flexible, and fulfilling. As the leading pluralistic Jewish teen movement, we aspire to involve more Jewish teens in meaningful Jewish experiences.

For more than 100 years, our purpose has been to unleash the power of youth. Through the Aleph Zadik Aleph (AZA, our high school fraternity) and the B'nai B'rith Girls (BBG, our high school sorority), BBYO delivers exceptional leadership and identity-building experiences that have shaped the confidence and character of hundreds of thousands of alumni who now lead in business, politics, academia, the arts, and Jewish communal life.

Together, AZA and BBG form a global Jewish teen movement spanning more than 60 countries. With year-round activities in hundreds of communities, a wide range of summer leadership programs, and inspiring global travel experiences, BBYO empowers teens to explore leadership, service, civic engagement, Israel education, and Jewish values.

We are seeking a passionate Chapter Specialist to support teens in smaller Jewish communities across the region to join our team serving chapters across the Pacific Northwest. As the Chapter Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in working closely with teens, alumni, and community partners to build AZA, BBG, and BBYO chapters within the Movement's Evergreen Region (Oregon, Washington, and Idaho).

You will partner with teens and chapter advisors to elevate programming, strengthen engagement, and create year-round impact for hundreds of local Jewish teens. Alongside your teammates, you'll thrive in a dynamic environment and help shape a positive experience for teens, our community, and the wider world.

  • Coach teens on recruitment and retention strategies that build and grow their chapters to exceed membership and engagement goals.
  • Support teens in building and executing chapter calendars, ensuring a consistent and sustainable programming cadence.
  • Be present at chapter events and meetings, providing guidance, supervision, and mentorship as the adult in the room
  • Ensure chapter participation in region-wide initiatives (e.g. Kickoffs, RLTI, and convention)
  • Ensure chapter participation in organization-wide initiatives (e.g., BBYO Summer Programs, ILN, and IC)
  • Track and analyze chapter data, including attendance, engagement, and membership trends, to inform strategy
  • Build relationships and maintain communication with members, parents, and community partners
  • Participate as a member of the regional team to bring innovative ideas and best practices to the community.
  • Participate in monthly professional development with fellow Chapter Specialists
  • Other duties as assigned

Driving chapter health and success
