This recruitment will be used to fill one part‑time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Annual Giving & Gift Planning Engagement Student Assistant for the OSU Foundation at Oregon State University (OSU). The Oregon State University Foundation is seeking a student to join the Annual Giving and Gift Planning teams. Reporting jointly to the Senior Director of Annual Giving Programs and the Assistant Vice President of Gift Planning, this student worker will play a key role in supporting donor engagement, fundraising, stewardship, research, and marketing efforts across both programs.

Responsibilities include assisting with donor outreach, stewardship communications, legacy donor engagement, student philanthropy initiatives, prospect research, database management, and campaign support, including Dam Proud Day and OSU Legacy Society activities. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in nonprofit advancement while developing professional skills in communications, fundraising, donor relations, research, and data analysis. The student worker will contribute meaningfully to the culture of philanthropy at Oregon State University while gaining exposure to both annual and planned giving strategies.

• Promote philanthropy through student and donor engagement, stewardship calls, surveys, and outreach activities.
• Support Dam Proud Day, OSU Legacy Society, and other fundraising initiatives through event logistics, communications, and outreach.
• Thank donors, share impact stories, gather feedback, and assist with legacy donor engagement.
• Conduct market, donor, and prospect research to support fundraising and engagement strategies.
• Assist with donor cultivation efforts, including research, outreach preparation, and stewardship activities.
• Support the creation and editing of marketing, stewardship, and donor communications.
• Maintain donor records through data entry, contact reports, coding updates, and honor roll maintenance.
• Shadow advancement professionals and gain exposure to annual giving, gift planning, and donor stewardship.
• Provide general administrative support for the Annual Giving and Gift Planning teams.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

• Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study.
• Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment.

  Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home‑schooling program.
• Undergraduate and post‑baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term.
• Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*.
