Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN to serve as an Emergency Department Assistant Department Manager with an active Oregon RN license and advanced life support certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting

• Provide care for a broad patient population including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients with needs ranging from non-critical to emergent

• Position includes management responsibilities and staff support under the Nurse Manager

• Varied shifts with occasional weekend requirements

• Responsible for assisting in the management of the Emergency Department and ensuring quality patient care

• Care provided includes critical cardiac and trauma cases, including pediatric emergencies

• All Emergency Department staff must be certified to care for critical cardiac and trauma patients

• No COVID-19 vaccination requirement is noted

• Facility may refuse or terminate assignments for cause

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon consideration

• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience

• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC or ATCN

• Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required

• BSN and completion of management courses preferred
