Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, age‑appropriate, direct and indirect patient care, while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

The Medical Surgical unit specializes in the care of acutely ill adults and those who require both emergency and elective surgery. Medical Surgical patients receive the highest standards of professional care from registered nurses and nurse assistants. Specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing is strongly encouraged and supported.

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.
• GSR Med Surg:
  • Successful completion of SHS ECG Monitoring class or equivalent course approved by management required within six (6) months of hire.
  • ACLS required within six (6) months of hire.
  • Orthopedic and Bariatric experience preferred.

  Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics. Basic understanding of age‑related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers.
